Pink Ribbon: Move, Groove and Think Pink

Beatrice Lessi

Last night, I found myself in the heart of Zurich, at Sihlcity, attending a Pink Ribbon yoga evening. But let’s be honest—it wasn’t just about yoga. It was an evening of movement, music, and yes, a good dose of girlie talk. The event was open to all levels, making it as inclusive as it was inspiring. Live music set the tone, and the witty instructor kept us smiling with lines like, “Go slow motion! That was… almost Oscar-worthy!”

Pink Ribbon Schweiz is an organization dedicated to raising awareness and funds for breast cancer research and support. Their events, like this yoga class, are designed to bring people together in solidarity while promoting health and well-being. And they do it with style—literally. I wore a MinoiFit outfit specially created for Pink Ribbon, with 5 francs from each purchase donated to cancer research. (Yes, I double-checked—this is true!)

This wasn’t my first Pink Ribbon event. I also participated in their Zurich charity run, where the sea of pink-clad participants moving together was both emotional and uplifting. Just like the yoga class, it was a reminder that supporting a cause doesn’t have to be solemn—it can be joyful, empowering, and even fun.

As I left the yoga mat last night, I couldn’t help but feel a renewed sense of purpose. Pink Ribbon events remind us that every small action—whether it’s a stretch, a step, or a donation—contributes to a larger fight. Together, we’re not just raising awareness; we’re building a community of hope and resilience. 💕

So, here’s to moving, laughing, and making a difference—one pose, one step, one pink ribbon at a time.
