I am thinking while writing this blogpost. A smile comes to my face.

Yes, because I’ve just been at the Faern Crans-Montana Valaisia with Yvonne of Funkyforty.

And every time we go somewhere together, we get in trouble.

This time it wasn’t too bad, but we did fail to register properly for accreditation, so we ended up entering the golf course armed with a big professional camera (featuring a monster lens), and being told we were not allowed to take any pictures. Hmm…that wasn’t ideal.

It took us a lot of windows knocking, doors opening, emails showing and long story telling, to convince someone we were actually allowed to photograph. Finally we could start to work. And what a delightful work. We immediately bumped into one of the two  Højgaard twins, the first brothers in European Tour history to win back-to-back events.

We had an excellent afternoon watching the European Masters, Rasmus Hoejgaard was playing with Romain Langasque and Jesper Svensonn. They made it look so easy and elegant.

I personally love Crans Montana also when golf season is over.  I adore its wooden chalets, that in summer are covered in geranium blooms, and in winter perfectly complement the snow with a fairytale feeling. The lake with the “CRANS MONTANA” wooden letters is another classic spot for a walk.

The Crans-sur-Sierre Golf Club, classified by golf magazines like one of the most beautiful in the world, and host to the European Masters, is a plateau at 1500 meters that overlooks the Rhône Valley.

Crans Montana is perfect for the active tourist, or for relaxing. At the Faern Crans -Montana Valaisia, one can do that at the spa (which is currently under renovation), and in the nature.
