Chris de Burgh in Madrisa
Leaving you Breathless
Last night I joined the opening of the new event venue in Madrisa, Klosters, where Chris de Burgh gave a concert with the gorgeous backdrop of Swiss mountains. What a music and what a scenario! The combination simply melted my heart.
Emotions and Fun
Chris’ music can be very intimate and intense, and I particularly enjoyed when he sang a cappella – a voice and an atmosphere that gave me goosebumps. But we also had fun and danced and clapped our hands; listening to A Better World and to timeless songs we all know is always the best way to make you want to move and sing along. I even overheard a very serious Swiss banker in the audience shouting ” we love your daughter!” (actress and singer Rosanna Davison, Chris’daughter, was elected Miss World in 2003), so I realised everybody had loosened up and fully enjoyed the concert.
Dinner in Madrisa
The opening day included a private dinner in Madrisa with Chris himself, so I went to him twice to ask for a picture and had to really insist because there was a bit of a queue. Finally I could chat with him, and also get my mostly desired photo. He is very friendly and approachable…once you manage to get the groupies out of the way!
Madrisa is rapidly becoming the new place to be: the new chairlift, self-service restaurant and now the concert venue make it an excellent location to relax alone or with the family. Thank you to the whole organisation and to Chris for being so charming and above all for the beautiful music he gave us.
