Why Is It So Popular?
Art in the Park is absolutely beautiful – this is, in my opinion, the first reason why Zurich people (and more) are flocking to see the exhibition every year.
It also gives you a boutique feeling – a hand picked selection of top artists, an incredible location (Baur Au Lac), and the emotion of the art pieces: a touch of wild and forbidden, a sense of irony, and some classic pieces we all would love to display in our house. For sure I would!
Our Visit
Geri and I had missed the opening and had seen the pictures, but pictures are never like the real thing. So we went to check ourselves in a glorious sunny day – we had high expectations, but we were positively surprised. Our pictures reflect what we liked most: the sensual Mel Ramos sculptures we couldn’t take our eyes off.
Art In the Park XV
The exhibition is open to public: June 12 – August 4, 2017 and is the tenth time it has been organised in collaboration with Galerie Gmurzynska. What will you see? Topping the bill will be trailblazing Spanish Surrealist Joan Miró. But the „supporting cast“ – including Mel Ramos, Rotraut, Allen Jones, Silvester Stallone, Sophia Vari, Hermann Rastorfer and Louise Nevelson – is certainly no less auspicious!
