All New In Madrisa – The Rolls Royce of Chair Lifts Is Here
More More More in Madrisa – Klosters
A 25 million Swiss Francs investment. A brand new 6 seats chair lift that is, for the first time ever in Switzerland, designed for safe use by children and the disabled. A brand new restaurant with sleek, modern design, and warm natural materials. A place where kids can train how to use the chair lift without any time stress. Countless attractions for the whole family. Blue skies, mountain and snow – I experienced all this and much more yesterday in Madrisa, Klosters.
First VIP Ride
So how did I find out? I attended the opening ceremony of the new chair lift and restaurant in Madrisa. In typical Swiss fashion, food and refreshments where offered outdoor (this time the temporary restaurant was an igloo!) while speeches were given. Ulrich Spiesshofer, CEO of ABB, spoke about the whole project and explained its importance for the whole area and its tourism, and later on joined the first ride. What I liked most was the actual opening of the chair lift: kids and adults held their skis up to make a “tunnel” for the new visitors, and then Edith Wolf-Hunkeler, Gold medalist at the Paraolympics and winner of many international marathons, smoothly passed from her wheelchair to the new seat, for the joy of photographers and cameramen – did you also notice how pretty Edith is?
Luxury Seat
The new luxury is for everybody – the Madrisa Rolls Royce of lifts, with seat-heating and automatic closing, is also an opportunity for the future of the region.

Thank you Madrisa for the invitation and…see you soon!
