Technogym Zurich – Do you know who’s behind it?

When I write a review for Swiss Deluxe Hotels, often the marketing manager  sends me a description of the place. Invariably, talking about the gym, I will find the sentence “Technogym equipment”. This is because the brand itself is another way to say that the hotel is the absolute top.

But which nationality is behind Technogym?

Of course I know the answer to this: Technogym is Italian! Not many people know it, though. These fitness machines have become so international that many think it’s American or anyway not Italian. Technogym is gloval indeed. it is the official supplier to nine Olympic and Paralympic Games. Also, they became known all over the world as “The Wellness Company”.

The new Zurich shop

Last week the new Zurich shop opened. I was invited at the ceremony and there met Nerio Alessandri, founder and CEO (see cover picture), and Andrea Matteucci, Switzerland CEO.

Among the guests, three times European Champion Mujinga Kambundji. I stayed very shortly because of a personal appointment the same evening, but I loved it. No discussion: Italians do it better (and I am objective, hehehe).
